Watch Dua Lipa struggle to sit in tightly corseted Golden Globes 2024 dress

Dua Lipa wasn’t exactly ready to “Dance the Night” away.

On Sunday night, the singer hit the red carpet for the Golden Globes 2024 in a gilded gowns that turned heads — but wasn’t exactly comfortable.

The “Barbie” star, 28, chose a black, mermaid style Schiaparelli gown that featured gold boning throughout, and it appears to have been tightly corseted as she struggled a bit when it came time to get into her seat.

Taking to Instagram, the pop star shared a video of herself from inside the awards ceremony, revealing that rather than kicking back and relaxing, the gown’s tight, structured design required her to lean back into her chair instead.

“Thank you @goldenglobes for such a beautiful night last night,” she wrote as the caption for the gallery, which also included multiple shots of her gorgeous ensemble. “The only thing missing was a reclining chair.”

As it turn out, a few of Lipa’s followers could relate to the singer’s mini fashion faux pas.

“When you wear your standing dress to a sit down event,” one person wrote in the comments alongside a laughing emoji.

Others, however, simply marveled at how good Lipa looked — including those who attend the event themselves.

“Stun town,” wrote America Ferrera, who also starred in “Barbie” and arrived at the Golden Globes in her own sparkly outfit, which consisted a pearl-embellished, sequined gown from Dolce & Gabbana.

While she was nominated for Best Song for a Motion Picture for “Dance the Night,” the award ultimately went to another “Barbie” hit, with Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?” taking home the prize.

Perhaps Lipa will be getting into comedy after her night out on the town.
