Tiffany Haddish jokes about DUI at stand-up show — less than a day after arrest

Tiffany Haddish made a joke out of her DUI arrest less than 24 hours after being booked by police in Beverly Hills.

“I prayed to God to send me a man with a job, preferably in a uniform,” Haddish said Friday at the Laugh Factory in Long Beach, Calif., per audio obtained by TMZ.

“God answered my prayers.”

Her joke wasn’t offered up freely, however, as a fan from the crowd asked her “What happened last night?” to which she responded, “I don’t know, you tell me.”

The “Girls Trip” star’s quip came a day after she was found “asleep behind the wheel” following her Thanksgiving comedy show at the Laugh Factory in Hollywood.

“We responded to a call of a vehicle on the roadway at 5:45 this morning,” a watch commander for the Beverly Hills Police Department told Page Six at the time.

We were told that Haddish’s vehicle was “stopped in lanes of traffic” rather than pulled over to the side, which would have forced others cars on the road to drive around her.

However, the watch commander noted that there were “no traffic collisions.”

The “Night School” actress, 43, was booked at the Beverly Hills jail and released later that afternoon.

“God answered my prayers,” the comedian quipped onstage at the Laugh Factory in Long Beach, Calif., on Friday.

Video obtained by TMZ showed the “Haunted Mansion” star calmly being escorted by officers into the back of their vehicle.

Haddish was still wearing the same outfit she was pictured in during her Thanksgiving performance.

Following the arrest, she was spotted leaving the Laugh Factory in Long Beach on Friday in the back seat of an SUV driven by producer Jeff Beacher.

Haddish was arrested on DUI charges around 5 a.m. Friday morning, hours after performing at the Laugh Factory in Hollywood.

She seemed in high spirits at the time, despite having left the police station hours earlier.

Haddish — wearing a red, off-the-shoulder silk top — flashed a subtle grin as the producer drove away.

Aside from her comedic quip, she has not publicly addressed her DUI arrest nor have her reps responded to Page Six’s request for comment.
