Sunny Hostin wonders whether Britney Spears is “capable” after the pop star’s 13-year conservatorship ended.
“We’ve seen a free Britney now after the conservatorship. Is she still suffering? Sometimes I wonder. It seems that she is still suffering,” Hostin, 55, said on “The View” Tuesday.
Hostin’s co-host Sara Haines chimed in to say “suffering is going to be inevitable” but questioned whether Spears, 42, is “capable of making decisions for her life.”
“Is she capable? Because we’ve seen some things that have happened that’s questionable,” Hostin agreed.
The lawyer, who said she was “part of the #FreeBritney movement,” did not elaborate on the behavior she found “questionable.”
However, the “Toxic” singer has raised eyebrows with her bizarre social media posts since a Los Angeles judge terminated her conservatorship in 2021.
Spears has shared videos of herself posing without clothes on, dancing with knives and even eating cake off the floor.
The Grammy winner addressed her “abusive” former legal arrangement in her 2023 memoir, “The Woman in Me,” in which she explained that her newfound freedom has allowed her to share whatever she would like after being controlled by her estranged father, Jamie Spears.
“Freedom means being goofy, silly, and having fun on social media,” she wrote in the book.
“Freedom means being able to make mistakes, and learning from them.”
Britney added that she wants to “search for joy, in my own way, on my own terms.”
The “View” panel brought up the “Crossroads” star’s conservatorship while discussing Wendy Williams’ guardianship amid the former talk show host’s battle with aphasia and frontotemporal dementia.
Williams, 59, was placed under her guardianship in 2022 after Wells Fargo claimed she was an “incapacitated person” amid ongoing health issues.
The “Wendy Williams Show” alum subsequently spoke out against the arrangement, as has her family.

Williams is currently getting treatment for her health issues and alcohol abuse at a private facility, but her loved ones have claimed they cannot see or contact her.
The former radio personality recently thanked fans for their “overwhelming” support after her team revealed her diagnoses.
“I want to say I have immense gratitude for the love and kind words I have received after sharing my diagnosis of aphasia and frontotemporal dementia (FTD). Let me say, wow! Your response has been overwhelming,” she said in a statement to Page Six last week.
“The messages shared with me have touched me, reminding me of the power of unity and the need for compassion,” she continued.
Williams went on to ask for “personal space” to “thrive.”
