Olivia Rodrigo hid these Dr. Martens boots under her Grammys 2024 performance gown

Olivia Rodrigo’s “Vampire” performance boots won’t bleed your budget dry.

After hitting the Grammys 2024 red carpet in an angelic vintage Versace dress, the pop star changed into something a bit bolder — a plunging red Naeem Khan gown— to perform her Grammy-nominated single.

But while the silk style oozes elegance (and fake blood, which the star smeared on her chest during the performance), she forwent heels for something on the edgier side: a pair of Dr. Martens Jadon Platform Boots ($210), which she hit underneath the floor-length look.

It’s hardly the first time she’s reached for the star-approved staple, as the boots were also a hallmark of her “Sour” era.

In fact, the punk platforms have been a Hollywood hit for over a decade now, with famous fans ranging from Lil Nas X to Miley Cyrus to Bella Hadid.

“While we expected the Jadon boot to be big, it became massive,” Dr. Martens’s global creative director, Darren McKoy once told Vogue of the design.

Rodrigo’s closet is particularly packed with the classic lace-ups — in addition to the brand’s knee-high 1B60 Bex Pisa Leather Boots ($240), which she teamed with two different dresses at the 2023 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball.

For more dressed-down outings, the “Driver’s License” hitmaker often opts for the brand’s Vegan 1460 Felix Boots ($170) and bestselling 8065 Mary Janes ($140) instead.

While the 20-year-old star went home empty-handed at this year’s Grammys — despite six nominations — she landed on our best-dressed list for her sleek, shimmering red carpet gown.

The cream-colored dress is older than she is, having first appeared on supermodel Linda Evangelista at Versace’s spring 1995 runway show.
