Margot Robbie puts a casual twist on her doll-like style in Barbie tee as she addresses Oscars snub

Even Barbie needs a jeans day sometimes.

Margot Robbie wore a laid-back look to a special SAG screening of “Barbie” in Los Angeles Tuesday, trading her typical recreations of the Mattel doll’s iconic looks for jeans and a Barbie T-shirt as she commented on her Oscars snub for the first time.

While the Australian actress, 33 — who plays the titular role in the 2023 Greta Gerwig hit — might have worn a more casual ‘fit for the event, she kept it high-end by choosing a variety of designer pieces as she took part in a Q&A about the Golden Globe-winning movie alongside her co-stars.

The “Suicide Squad” actress sported a gray Bottega Veneta blazer ($3,100) with light-wash jeans ($900) from the designer, keeping things on-brand by adding a playful not-yet-available astronaut Barbie graphic tee by Chinti & Parker.

Of course, Robbie didn’t veer too far from her usual doll-like wardrobe, wearing a pair of candy pink Manolo Blahnik heels to the event, which was held at the Academy Museum.

She wore her blond hair down in soft waves, going with fresh, minimal makeup for the event.

The look was a departure from the variety of Barbie recreations she’s been wearing to promote the film, wearing everything from a dazzling black gown to channel Solo in the Spotlight Barbie to a neon ’90s Earring Magic Barbie ‘fit.

Her press tour looks have become so buzzy that Robbie collaborated with her stylist, Andrew Mukamal, on a fashion book titled “Barbie: The World Tour” ($50) that will be released just ahead of the Academy Awards in March.

Ryan Gosling and America Ferrera — who are nominated for Oscars for their portrayals of Ken and Gloria in the movie, respectively — also joined in the event along with Gerwig, Kate McKinnon, Ariana Greenblatt and Rhea Perlman.

When asked how she felt about being snubbed for a best actress nomination, Robbie kept it positive, telling the audience, “There’s no way to feel sad when you know you’re this blessed,” per Deadline.

“Obviously I think Greta should be nominated as a director, because what she did is a once-in-a-career, once-in-a-lifetime thing, what she pulled off, it really is,” she continued, referring to a lack of nomination for Gerwig in the best director category, adding, “but it’s been an incredible year for all the films.”

The star said she was “beyond ecstatic” about “Barbie” getting a whopping eight Oscar nominations, calling it “so wild.”

“Everyone getting the nods that they’ve had is just incredible, and the best picture nod,” Robbie said.

As for what she wears on the red carpet, we can’t wait to see what this Barbie pulls out of her closet.
