Look red carpet-ready at your next holiday party with help from Rent the Runway

‘Tis the season for festive fêtes — and if you’re anything like us, a whole lot of prepping and planning for what to wear to each one.

If your social calendar’s looking more packed than Taylor Swift’s touring schedule in the weeks ahead, you could buy a new outfit for every holiday shindig … or you could go the more economical and eco-friendly route by giving rental a try.

And just in time for party season, Rent the Runway is launching The Vault, a new collection of luxury evening attire from over 20 designers, including more than a few celebrity favorites.

For starters, Oscar de la Renta’s dreamy dresses will finally be available on the platform, including a floral frock reminiscent of those seen on Taylor Swift, Jessica Chastain and Dr. Jill Biden.

Other Rent the Runway newcomers include Zac Posen, Giambattista Valli and Etro; the colorfully printed Skylark maxi dress from the latter label, which Jennifer Lopez wore for a night out in Capri in 2022, originally retailed for $3,995 but will be available to rent for $300.

Those looking for something more monochromatic might prefer Mara Hoffman’s rosette-accented Maia dress, as seen on Rosario Dawson at last month’s CFDA Awards. Priced at $750, it’s available to rent for $90.

Looks from Altuzarra, Prabal Gurung and Brandon Maxwell are also included in the collection. And more are are coming soon — including Paris Georgia’s signature Heart dress, a contrast-trim style we’ve spotted on Lorde, Candice Swanepoel and Jasmine Tookes, to name but a few.

“We’re all more obsessed with luxury than ever, whether we’re following a brand on social media, or we see one of our favorite celebrities wearing it. That’s why we’re so excited to offer customers the opportunity to experience true luxury fashion through Rent the Runway with this launch,” Rent the Runway’s founder and CEO, Jenn Hyman, tells Page Six Style.

“Celebrities have been ‘renting’ designer fashion for years by borrowing styles for red carpet affairs, but only now can you actually wear the same designers without the red carpet price tag. The Vault allows you to tap into a once off-limits brands at a fraction of the original retail cost, taking our dream closet to the next level.”

All designs in The Vault are exclusively available for four- or eight-day one-time rentals on Rent the Runway, so get ready to deck the halls while decked out in designer duds.
