Dick Van Dyke channels his ‘Mary Poppins’ chimney sweep dance ahead of 98th birthday

He’s still got it.

Dick Van Dyke channeled his iconic chimney sweep dance from the 1964 film “Mary Poppins” days before his 98th birthday.

In a video shared on Christina Karlin’s Instagram Stories Thursday, the legendary movie star performed a few dance moves from the scene with his wooden cane in hand.

Van Dyke looked dapper cutting a rug as he films his upcoming CBS special “Dick Van Dyke 98 Years of Magic,” wearing a white button-up shirt and a gray suit.

“Celebrating this legend today,” Karlin wrote on the clip.

Last month, CBS announced that it would be celebrating Van Dyke’s forthcoming birthday (Dec. 13) in a big way by taking a look back at his career, which has spanned over seven decades in film, television and stage.

The special “will travel back in time to the iconic set of ‘The Dick Van Dyke Show’ and feature dazzling music and dance spectacles, heartfelt performances, special guests and a magical holiday number,” per a press release from the network.

“I started with CBS under contract in 1955 with the CBS morning show, then ‘The Dick Van Dyke Show’ and ‘Diagnosis Murder,’” the “Night at the Museum” actor said in a statement at the time. “I’ve been with the CBS family for almost 70 years, and I couldn’t be prouder.”

“I’m incredibly honored that CBS will be throwing a 98th birthday special for me,” he added. “Can’t wait to be part of the show!”

Van Dyke has been getting his flowers a lot more recently.

In November, the former “Dick Van Dyke Show” host made a rare appearance last month alongside his wife, Arlene Silver, as they attended the opening of his longtime photographer Laura Johansen’s exhibit, Moments in Time Portraits, at Malibu City Hall.

The exhibit honored the past decade of Van Dyke’s life.
