‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ stars mourn Andre Braugher after sudden passing: ‘This hurts’

“Brooklyn Nine-Nine” cast members are mourning Andre Braugher with touching tributes.

After Page Six confirmed the 61-year-old’s sudden passing on Monday, Terry Crews was one of the first of the late actor’s former co-stars to honor him on social media.

“Can’t believe you’re gone so soon,” the ex NFL player, who played Lieutenant Terry Jeffords on the comedy series from 2013 to 2021, wrote via Instagram.

“I’m honored to have known you, laughed with you, worked with you and shared 8 glorious years watching your irreplaceable talent,” Crews, 55, continued. “This hurts. … I will be forever grateful for the experience of knowing you.”

He concluded, “You showed me what a life well lived looks like. Rest In Peace, Andre. I love you, man. 😢”

Braugher, who was nominated for four Emmy Awards for his role as Captain Ray Holt, was also honored by his TV husband, Marc Evan Jackson.

The comedian, 53, posted an on-set photo via X on Tuesday and wrote, “O Captain. My Captain.”

As for Chelsea Peretti, she mentioned her own character, Gina Linetti, while grieving Braugher in an Instagram caption.

“Is it weird that I am also grieving for what Captain Holt meant to Gina?” the actress, 45, asked. “I really hoped and knew I would see you again. Hate that I won’t 💔.”

Terry Crews, Chelsea Peretti and more cast members paid tribute online.

Peretti, who will “miss [his] dulcet tones,” added, “I will always cherish our conversations, often with me hanging in your doorway barring your exit, and the insane opportunity to be your sidekick.”

Joe Lo Truglio and Melissa Fumero, who played Charles Boyle and Amy Santiago, respectively, also posted about the “Homicide: Life on the Street” alum via Instagram.
