These shoes don’t quite croc her world.
Patrick Mahomes stepped out in quite the casual footwear for a recent Kansas City Chiefs photoshoot, prompting his wife, Brittany Mahomes, to weigh in after he wore a pair of white Crocs with a suit in a Reel the team posted on Instagram Wednesday.
“Surely QB1 didn’t wear crocs to the playoffs captains shoot… 🤣” the Chiefs captioned its Reel, which was narrated by none other than the team’s tight end (and Taylor Swift’s boyfriend), Travis Kelce, 34.
In the video, the NFL stars are seen posing in sophisticated suits as they gear up for the playoffs, with quarterback Patrick Mahomes, 28, strutting out in a pair of white Crocs clogs ($35-$50).
“What do you want me to do with these shoes?” a team member asks as the suited-up Super Bowl champion says in confusion, “Wha? Do I need shoes?”
“Do you have any?” the man asks, prompting Patrick to say, “I don’t even know what shoes I have.”
The situation is resolved later in the clip, when the Chiefs player poses in a shiny pair of black loafers, while Kelce then heads out for his snapshots in a pair of sneakers with his suit.
The video finishes with a closeup of a barefoot Patrick standing on a photo backdrop as his Crocs sit in the foreground of the shot.

While plenty of fans enjoyed the Super Bowl champ’s casual moment, his fashion-forward wife, Brittany, 28, made sure to point out she hadn’t approved the shoe sitch.
“I definitely put shoes in there….come onnnnn 😂🤦🏼♀️ @patrickmahomes” she hilariously commented.
Chiefs fans related to the moment, like one who wrote, “every wife knows this. It’s giving @kykelce ‘why didn’t Jason bring jeans for Jason!’😅” with the Instagram user referring to the moment when Travis Kelce pointed out that his brother, Jason, should have brought his own pants to a movie premiere instead of relying on his wife.
“Patrick … in crocs. Not on my bingo card today 😂” a fan added, while another wrote, “You ain’t rocking if you’re not crocing! I love the white crocs.”
“I knew that’s why I liked @patrickmahomes because I only wear crocs too I keep a pair in my trunk 😂” a third commented in defense of the clogs.
As for Mrs. Mahomes, the NFL wife sports plenty of stylish ‘fits to her husband’s games (and outings with new bestie Swift).
The duo even twinned in custom red puffer jackets with their beaus’ numbers on them for last week’s Chiefs vs. Dolphins game.
